I'm from qld. Just had a flu shot this evening as a recommendation from the doc before we fly as we will be exposed to germs galore. Am eagerly awaiting the employment pack has anyone else got theirs yet?

That's good. :-).

I have not received mine yet.

Does anyone know if you are required to wear business-wear during training.Does that mean a suit?

My timetable says jacket and tie for males, so yes I would assume a suit!

depending on your instructors, they will tell you if you need to wear a tie or not to EPs. My instructors said to come in business attire but no need for a jacket or tie (for males) girls had to wear business attire and with shirts that cover the shoulders. Alot of the time you will be changing into overalls and will be in the trainer also. Then for service you will be in uniform! (2nd day)

i didnt receive my employment pack til about 2 weeks before my start date so don't worry, it'll get there =)

good luck and see you online!

Can anyone tell me, are we in shared apartments during GS?

I can see the hotel has 2 bedroom apartments.

Worried as I can sometimes be a horrible sleep walker!

Hi CC_Sky and Mango

Thanks for that.

CC, did you receive your employment pack yet?

Mango, have you graduated GS? If yes, is it difficult?

i graduated back in march, been online for about 2 months now =)

its not difficult at all, but it does depend on you and how you learn. i found it easy but others in my class studied all the time and still found exams difficult.

My advice is - try and understand everything that they teach you and it will all make sense.. don't try and remember/memorize it just for the exam because later on you will just forget it. if you understand it then it'll always be in your head... just like driving a car!

and in regards to accommodation - im from sydney so i just stayed at home, but everyone that was in my training school got their own apt. but i think it does depend on where they put you up and whats available etc

Mango

Thanks for that. :-). Were there any from your batch that did not make it through graduation? Is there a final selection after GS or something like that?

Has anyone here finished or almost finished training for MAM? Just wondering what your land evacuation/ ditching practical exams were like?

Is it that bad? How long did you work for them?

No, I have never worked as a cabin crew member before :-). Looking forward to the experience however. :-)

Pretty sure it's a forum rule not to publicly post the name of hotels that crew stay at. Feel free to privately message people, but I'd remove that last post if I were you. A friendly reminder
