Hey CC Wannabes!!

My DOJ is the 8th of January - is there anyone with the same start?
Time has never been flying faster than now....
Does anybody knows sth about Internet?/Wlan? Do we have access since Day 1 or do we have to make a contract first?
I would be so happy to see some nice people from here in Dubai

if you get an accommodation where all 2-3 people are freshmen, well, than this means you will have to wait around 4 weeks to get the permition and so on.. to set up the Internet connection at your home.

If you move in to an apartment where there is already someone, that has been working for a x time, then most probably they will already have everything set up and ready to use

Smile Thanks

Hey everyone, I just want to say thank you for this forum and all your Q & A's Its helped me immensly in deciding if this is something I truly want to pursue and how to go about it. Ive read almost this entire thread lol Yes all 102 pages!

They have a OD across the country(edmonton/vancouver) in a few weeks which I wont be able to make, so Im hoping they announce some more dates in Toronto or NYC as I can get to either pretty easily.

Hopefully I will be able to work with alot of you come the spring and years to come! Its seems like such a wonderful community and I cant wait to be a part of it.

I found some great recruitment videos on youtube Emirates Airlines Beautiful Cabin Crews Part 1 - YouTube

So Just a quick question. Do you think its better to apply online so they have my info, or just wait until an OpenCall and drop off my cv and pics then?

Waiting Period

Hello Durban_girl!! ) I think I somehow can relate to this situation. My FI was on Dec 12th 2011 and still waiting. 2 out of 12 of us already got their calls. I know that each individual's files are considered at different time periods, depending on how quickly they receive our pics and pending documents. I m fully aware of that and still keep my patience. But the part that concerns me is that my status still says "Under Review" although I was expecting it to change until now to " Approval in Process" IF I was considered at all.
So that kind of makes me nervous! I was wondering what your status said before you got the Rejection Letter?
I'll really appreciate your help )

Arrow Layovers for new Joiners

Hi Seja! Wow great info about the job. Thanks a lot! I have a couple of additional things to ask ( hopefully this hasnt been answered).
Im sure its clear to most of us that our job is not as rosy pink dream as we may think it is, and its got its Cons just like any other job.
What isnt clear to me is this; How often do cabin crews have layovers? and how often turnarounds? One of the main things that motivate me to become a flight attendant, is to travel to as many far away destinations as possible.. and also of course have enough time to do some sightseeing for myself. Im wondering If, being in good flights for ex, to San Francisco, New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, Sydney etc has anything to do with crew's experience/ the fact that they're new-inexperienced? Or it doesnt really matter? I just ask this out of curiosity and of course, your answer might help not only me but someone else whos about the same things! So thanks a lot in advance! Fly high but stay safe

Talking Proper format for CV application with EK

Does anyone here mind sharing their CV Format when they applied for Emirates? Im not quite sure if the resume that i have right now is good enough or if i need to add some more information in it that doesn't normally included in resume in north america?

Would appreciate anyone's help!
especially from those who got the job with EK

Layovers

Luckily we all get to see the exciting places AND have to do the night turnarounds to India. So the good and the bad, you get to experience it from the start, which is great!

Thefunkyfrench

Hi,
There is no problem if you are working at the moment, don't stress and don't worry about this, you can tell them that you'are working at the moment alot of the condidates were with me in the final interview worked.Don't worry about this after your FI if you passed you will receive Golden Call they will ask you to resign and be ready for joining.
Now you have to prepare your self sleep well, because it will be along day and busy day don't panick and beeeeeeeeeeeeeee your self this is my advice to you don't stresse.take it easy.
good luck, and I hope to hear good news from you.
