The founders of Zoom Canada and UK were behind it, John and Hugh Boyle I think. Globe Span Capital was the financial backing and planned on moving the reinvented airlines heaquarters to Kingston, ON. whilst still keeping YYZ as the main operation. I wonder how the former Zoom employees who lost their jobs would feel about it being such a great new company to work for.

They were also looking at former Harmony, Skyservice and Canada 3000 people for management.

As I understand it those who were hired on to make the airline take off, were not paid and a few had resigned. Apparently at the office as well where they were to be based, rent had also not been paid so it shut down. Its definately a shame to see this happen

I heard today that there are allegations of XPO Airlines which I thought was dead of potentially buying “Sky Service”, has anyone else herd of this speculation? Just curious to know if XPO is even still around as last talk of them was almost a year ago and at that stage the Faskin rent was not paid, my other thoughts are that this can’t be true because I have been told that faskin was as of last week still not pa paid for and how can they buy a airline without paying for a small rent bill?
Anyone else have any thoughts?
