rumour

Shez,

what kind of help do you need?! Relax.

Whattoflyhigh,

this rumour is funny! I never heard such a thing! Why would it be good for anyone?! I think it's not true.

Blood Count

Hey!

Your haemoglobin level is about the same as mine - approx 13g/dL so you should be fine, if you look at the form it states what is unacceptable - do they mention blood disorders?? They only check your blood so they can see how well you will tolerate flying I think so as long as you're not anaemic you should be ok.

If you didn't declare it and then you got ill (not sure if this is a probability with your condition) then Emirates may refuse to treat you if you don't declare pre-employment...worth thinking about...

rumour

At the final interview, the recruiters told me that they are recruiting for A380 now, and as far as I know a flight with A380 is not a turnaround.

i believe and hope its just a rumour. do they even have that many turnarounds?! surely new staff would be introduced to all sorts of flights.

we were told that some interviews last about an hour, others only about 30 minutes and it means absolutely nothing so not to worry. our recruiter specifically told us that! mine was only about half an hour long too and i have a good feeling.

Regarding the A380, in my Assessment the recruiters told us that we MAY be trained for the A380, but they didn't said that for sure, it's just a possibility.

Regarding the interview, in my assesment recruiters also told us what FlyGirl said. They said that some may take an hour, others just half an hour, and it doesn't mean anything. Mine was about half an hour and as FlyGirl, I have a good vibe. Time will tell...

Good luck to everyone who's waiting!

(BTW, 3 of the candidates that were with my in the AD, already got the call and are with medicals now... SO anxoius!)

All interviews in Argentina took around 30 min ( due to this, the recruiters even re-scheduled some of the interviews so they could finish earlier ).

The waiting is killer! today it's been two weeks since my FI. Hope I get good news on Sunday.

See you all in DXB!

Belgrade OD - 30th Sept

One of my friends had his final interview 4th October in Belgrade, Serbia.

He didn't receive any news yet. Nothing at all. It's been almost 6 weeks!!!

Although, two girls we know were both called on 15th October, they are both cleared and joining Emirates 23rd November.

Psychometric test at FI

hey.

for the ones who got to the Final Interview: did you have to take a psychometric test? I mean... I had to take one at the AD, however i was not asked to take another at the FI.. some people were though. Is that a good sign or not? I've been waiting for their call and nothing... =\ i guess i didin't pass since i didn't even take the test.

Nothing to worry about, this test doesn't really determine wether you are gonna pass or not.
On my FI some people took it and some people didnt ( I didnt ). My theory is that on the AD they take the test and if your answers are not really that conclusive ( like answering too many 'in between' ) enough to create your psicologic and intelectual profile , they take another test to prove some things.

I wouldn't worry much about it. Keep thinking positive.

Today is 'arab weekend' so we will probably be hearing from them on Sunday.

Is the uniform form something important?!

Don't worry guys, they always let you know if they need something from you!!! My collague had to send new full-length photo, then new casual photos last year after FI.
