Colourblind
Hi guys, does anybody have any idea if I can become a flight attendant if I"m colourblind (on red/green scale) ?
And will they test me for colourblindness somewhere else ( i.e. Dubai , with their own doctors ) except from the medical documents I give them from my own country. Thank you!
Do you also think that 175cm (5`9'' )is too short for height for male attendant or it's fine?
Thank you!

Hi Kaan,
Yes 18 is minimum age. Some middle eastern airlines is 21
I recommend you use this time to do your courses that are required or reflect and study interview techniques. All good things are worth waiting for

I have a gap in my CV is this a problem
Serious question, with the employment situation as it is at present, I am surprised that there is any recruitment for any slight blemished persons, as CC.
Just look at the old Fart$ behind the FD door....., we are not allowed to be seen.....

I'm not sure what you mean by "blemished"?
Every applicant is not 100% perfect in terms of "on paper" but its the results they produce on the day that gets them the job!
Please elaborate as I feel this is very narrow minded

Part time hours
Hi, I believe most would - possibly. I would imagine you would need to complete the season (with the likes of Thomas Cook, Thompson etc) and then get a perm contract and then request to go part time.
I know Easyjet allow working parents to go part time of required.
Regards,

career as a psa agent
Hi from Rome!
I'm considering a career as a passenger service agent in the uk, I'm graduated in foreign languages and I'm seeking an entry level psa job but I dont know which is the route to follow... Its better attending a short course for psa agents or applying directly to airport handling agencies... also are there any age limits for psa agents?
What can you suggest me?
Best regards and thank you in advance!

Questions...
Hello everyone - I am new here, I have a few questions regarding working as cabin crew. I'm still at school and have always wanted to be a pilot but understand how difficult it can be to become one. I am looking at other ways to get into the aviation industry - I am currently training to get my microlight license and am rebuilding a microlight. I am thinking about becoming a microlight instructor but I would need a job inbetween leaving school and that turning into reality. I don't plan on going to university so I would be 18 when I leave school. I have a few questions I would like to ask:
1) What is the pay and work hours like?
2) Is there a possibility to 'move up' to become a pilot within any airlines?
3) What airlines fly out of Birmingham and station crew their?
4) How long on average are work contracts?
5) Do you really get to 'travel' the world - how long do you stay in a destination?
6) Whats the training like?
and finally
7) Would I have a problem getting the job with 10 GCSE's (5 B's, 3 A's and 2 A*'s) 4 A - Levels (Unsure of grades) and a BTEC in aviational studies.
Any help / pointers are greatly appreciated.
Cheers;
Max

Because I don't have a spare £50k laying around, and I don't want that much debt and be unable to get a job as a pilot at the end of it. I would be looking at being crew for a few years and then gaining my Microlight FI rating, and go and do that. I cannot justify the £50k debt, and I doubt that I at 18 could secure a loan of £50k!

Flight Attendant Medical Check
I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I just want to know what Medical check is like for flight attendant. I am going to have one in a couple of weeks. For female candidates, they specifically asked us to make an appointment when we are unlikely to have our period. Do you know why is that? are they going to look at us there? that's scary.
do you know how good your eyesight needs to be when having your glasses / contact lens on? I am short sighted and wear contact lens. I wonder if it is necessary to get a new pair of glasses before going for the medical.
