What are the Chances for Recruitment for Summer 2010

Hi

I know its maybe a bit early to start thinking about this topic what what are the chances of airlines recruiting for CC for the S10 season, or for 2010 in general as I know many didnt recruit or recuit much this year due to the economic climate.

The reason that I ask is that I am currently in an office job which I would like to leave to become CC. I was going to leave this job in the next few months to go for Hotel Reception (good customer service experience, shifts etc) but then I dont realy want to have to leave that job in say early 2020 to start a cabin crew job.

So I am just wondering should I hold on in the office job until say later this year and see if any of the airlines will be recruiting for 2010 or should I just go ahead and look for a Hotel Receptionists job if airlines arent going to be recruiting in 2010.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Personally, I would say stick with the job you have and maybe see if u can get part time work in a restaurant, pub, bar, hotel etc. to gain experience.

I think this economical crisis will take quite a while to correct itself. Many tourists are looking at coming to the Uk as the pound is quite weak at present.

The other option is to look at is things like the games coming up in London, maybe doing tourist things there to gain experience?? just a thought....or look at doing short haul contract work for an airline if you can.

best thing really is stay in ur job and find p/t work in customer service.

Hope that helps !!

I would think a few of the charter airlines would probably be hiring in temp contracts for S10 but who knows in a years time. So you could apply then.

As for leaving your job, only you can decide what is best for you there but I think what mellymoo is saying makes alot of sense. Is no really the best time to be leaving a secure job????

Best of luck whatever you decide.
