F/A at 18, possible?

I graduated school about 4 months ago. I love flying, and I've realized that: a. I can make a career out of it, and b. I need to organize money to get to university

This seems like a great career for me, I can speak about 5 languages. The problem for me however is, that I live in Singapore on a Pakistani passport. So that disqualifies me from any 'foreign' airline, and I can't apply to the mid-east carriers since they need me to be about 20.

Any suggestions for me? I satisfy all the height requirements and whatnot (Just can't swim, but I can learn!).

Thanks for any suggestions!

No one is able to say whether you will or won't be able to get in based on your age, it all depends on the airline, the recruiters, your maturity etc.

If you meet the requirements for an airline in your country, apply for it! You've got nothing to lose!

In Australia at least, airlines can't discriminate based on age, but I think that some would be wary that, as an 18 year old who has just finished school, you may not have yet had the life experiences, and therefore gained the maturity, to for a job which is a lot of work & where a lot of responsibility is in your hands.

But by all means, apply for any carriers which you are eligable for! If you don't have any luck, perhaps work or study for a couple of years, then try again

Thank you xulu8 for your words. Of course, there are prerequisites to applying, this is why I asked on here if someone knew of anywhere that I could apply to to bypass the age requirements. Thanks again for your words, I shall keep that in mind should I apply anywhere in the not-so-far away future.

And thanks to you as well dy1ng_to_fly. Some airlines do discriminate about age. I did look at QF, but they required me to be a PR in Australia.
If I applied to the airline in my home country (which would be PK - PIA), I'd be spending more in accommodation..., unfortunately, not an option.

Thanks again guys.

I meant that they couldn't discriminate on age with regards to those who are over 18. I realise that they must follow regulations & that these are set in stone.
But, by law, they also can't descriminate against an 18 year old, or a 45 year old simply because of their age.

That said, I do still that that some airlines would be unwilling to employ those who they may see as too young, and some may see 18 year olds as being 'too young'
