Hi,

I am going to be based at Shannon airport with Ryanair.

Can somebody tell me what it is like in Shannon and Shannon airport? I have never been there.

Also, I will need to arrange accommodation near Shannon airport. Is there anyone that can help me?

Firstly, Shannon isn't much of a town in that there is very little to do or see in Shannon. Therefore, a lot of crew wouldn't choose to live in Shannon but would go for the nearby town of Ennis, or the city of Limerick. Both Ennis and Limerick are within 30 minutes drive of Shannon airport. Will you have a car while staying in Ireland?

Yeah I doubt many actually live in Shannon. Ennis and Limerick are only 20 mins away on a fast dual carriageway

Limerick to Shannon Airport is €8.70 daily return and operates every hour as far as i'm aware. I'm sure there's discounts for crew and airport staff. It takes approx 20mins from city centre to Airport. Log onto www.shannonairport.com if you have not already. Enjoy your time here.
