Applications, Plz Help?

Applications, Plz Help?
Hi All,
I applied for J* New perth base about a week and a half ago. I have recieved only the 'thanks for submitting your application, we'll keep you updated' email. So far that's all I have heard.
Now, the closing date for applications was SUPPOSED to be on July 6th. I logged on to the recruitment website today and it says that applications have closed on the 30th of June?!
I'm not sure how to take this? Is it thier way of saying I was unsucessful? Have they just closed apps early? Should I be expecting a thanx but no thanx email? Do they send out a thanx but no thanx just for an application? :S I'm really not sure what to think.... argh!
Any advice?
