hey guys... i have a question.. i hope someone would be kind enough to answer... does emirates airline ask for documents from previous companies you've worked for?... if they do, in which part of the application process do they ask for it? do they ask it outright on the assessment day?... and do they call your employer? I hope somebody out there would be kind enough to answer my questions. pls pls pls... thanks in advance God bless!

Hello, on my final interview with EK they asked me if I had any tattoo. By that time I did not have any. I remember she marked a no on my application regarding the tattoo question.

A few weeks ago I got one beautiful tattoo on my back. For my surprise a few days ago ago they called me saying I got hired. My DOJ is 28-Nov.

My question: Is this going to affect me when I do my medicals in Dubai eventhough the uniform is going to cover the whole tattoo?

Thank you!

As long as it isn't visable in your uniform, you won't have a problem!

Chanty - from what I've read, Emirates can leave people waiting for quite a while!

Just wondering, I have my recruitment day this Saturday, can anyone tell me whether I actually need to take copies of my passport, high school certificate, two types of photos, etc?
The email doesn't say that you need to, but people keep mentioning it on here.

I'd like to hear from someone who'd been to a recruitment day in Aus if poss

Thanks!

Hi all,
Just a question, and I'm sorry if it's already been asked and answered (I tried to use the 'search' option, but I couldn't find what I was after).

Just wondering what the current starting salary is for EK CC?

The Emirates website says that the base salary is AED 3915 and the flying pay is about AED 4753.

Other area of the EK website (eg. History) havent been updated since 2003, so just wondering if the same applies for wages?

Also, are you paid monthly or fortnightly?

6 months?

I had an interview with Emirates yesterday in London and it was not successful. I couldn't pass the 2nd discussion stage and now I need to wait for 6 months. Some of my friends tried in other country after they failed and they ignored the penalty period but luckily they got accepted. I am willing to fly to other country in Europe and I want to have a second chance. I know it is a bit risky for sure. Do you think it is worth it or should I just wait for 6 months?

Don't they have some kind of database to regulate when people can apply again, or is it all done on trust??

Thank you for your response.
It is a bit risky and it scares me so I should think more about it.

to yumi

the only thing i can tell you is: TRY AGAIN!!!!!!, donīt think about the penalty period, forget it, if they ask u about ur last interview with ek say 6 months.....1 year, u know...... they canīt control over thousands appplications every month, even if you reach final interview and then u r not selected, try again next week in another country or even in london as they go to london very often..........u never know!!!!

Can you apply to a Global Asessment Day in a country which you are not residing in?
