.
Lee when I had a query I just called the recruitment team, they were really nice. Skylarker, the person currently works within the Qantas group and has been asked to transfer her medical across to QCCA.

Oh ok I see.
Medicals are one thing and is only another step in the process.
Once all medicals and security have been recieved then QCCA will decide on the final numbers.
I think all will hear sometime this week.
Good luck all

Cody24, I was also sent an email for medical and security clearance (on Tues 15th) and I emailed them right away to get clarification on whether I needed to go through the entire process with a full medical and paying the $170 for security checks, because like your colleague I also currently work within the Qantas Group.
I haven't received any email response yet, and tried calling the recruitment team twice yesterday with no answer. I guess they were just out of the office. Will be trying again first thing on Monday.
I remember them telling us QF Group employees at the candidate event that we don't need to complete the whole med/security process, and assumed there'd just be some transfer of details?
So hopefully this is the case, otherwise I'm wasting time that I could otherwise be booking in an appointment and sending off forms.

Hi guys and girls
Can I ask you a stupid question..... I have applied for a CC position in QF before, through MAM, but that was a few years ago and I need an update.... Has MAM become QCCA or are they two separate organisations??? TIA.

Hey Cody,
Did your colleague get told when they are planning to start the first ground school?
I remember them saying the end of June, but no one has received a successful phone call about start dates.
A friend of mine who works for JQ and he transferred his medical papers 4 weeks ago, and still has not heard from them.
I wonder how they do things!

Still at least two weeks before phone calls are placed.
They are waiting for all medicals and refs to be completed before final decision is made at the final review stage.
Hang in there guys

I am already QF LH CC but my flatmate applied and called recruitment on Friday.
She was told what I have stated. It takes a while for them to get it all together.
If QF says they will contact you in 2-3 weeks you can bank on 4-8 weeks.

QCCA 24th May recruitment day
Just wondering if anyone that was not already working for Qantas and went to the recruitment day in Sydney on the 24th May 2010 had received any email or phone calls that they got in????
Its been over 4 weeks do they usually send a letter or email if you are unsuccessful?
Also I went on to qantas website and my application has been withdrawn is that normal??

Thanks so much for your reply I really appreciate it.. No-one has rang any of my references at all has anyone rang yours yet???
Have you had any response from them at all?
Will they notify us via email or phone?
I thought that I would have had some response by now but I have had other flight attendants tell me they waited 6 weeks before they had a response.

Hey Mia,
My refs have not been contacted either, but were not the only ones. Its normal for Qantas to take so long, they will first send us an email saying they will contact our refs, and a few days after that they will either ask us to book a medical or give us a rejection email. If we make it through the medical, then they will phone us to offer us a position. It shouldnt be to much longer for us.
When did you attend the info session??
