Melbourne Assessment Day

Hi!

Anyone going to the assessment day this thursday the 12th? It says dual base for Melbourne and Avalon. Just wondering if anyone knows whether it's primarily based in Melbourne or whether it's equal from each??

It depends. It'll vary each month.

But you must be within 90 minutes of Tullamarine and Avalon airports.

Hi Tolly and Lillie,

Email the Altara HR...just reply to an email they've sent you and ask what's going on.

My ground school in Melbourne starts Feb 6th and then the other state ground schools join us in the second week (As far as I'm aware)

Hey Jacintamerri

If Tolly was at the same AD as me we are not through Altara. The wait feels like for ever!

Was your interview for casual or full-time?

Hi All. Am looking at returning to Oz. (I've been working in the UK as Cabin Crew for 14 years). Can anyone shed any light on the 'Responsible Service of Alcohol' certificate? I have seen that you can do it on-line, but you need to choose a State. Which should I choose and are the on-line courses acceptable to the Airlines irrelevant of where you are applying to be based? Also, anyone got any information on the Senior First Aid certificate? I did St Johns years ago and think it was over a couple of days.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Waiting

Hi guys,

I recently went to an AD with Altara/Jetstar in Melbourne and got through to the final round. My references have just informed me that they have been called. I am just wondering if anyone out there who is CURRENTLY working for Jetstar can tell me what the people/colleagues are like. I have heard a lot of things and choose to rather find out for myself, but is Jetstar okay to work for?? I think the fewer overnights and training in melbourne (not 7 weeks in Sydney) just appeal to me a bit more than with MAM... anyway any insight at all is much appreciated

I have recently completed RSA & Senior First Aid course. I was not allowed to do RSA online my only option was "be in the class". This applies to NSW not sure of other states. It was 1 day course. I was issued with photo ID competency card valid for 5 years. The Senior First Aid course is 1 or 2 day format. If you pass the exam you will receive Certificate valid for only 3 years. Good Luck
