I've been to Emirates interview tho but im not sure if process is going to be same. Any advise? Anyone here going to the interview?

Hi
Hi Ladyj1
I finally can see your post now as I also got a phone call from Tiger HR yesterday. My training will start on 7th of Dec. I haven't got information from Tiger but what kind of information did they give you by email?
and how many people are in your class? I am so excited about working with Tiger.
Keep in touch!

Well they better start hiring more, they seem to be canceling and get mass delays due to no crew, just like the events of 2008 are occurring all over with nobody to fly.
No overnights is a huge plus, but some very late finished, as in 2am. Better than red-eye flights or Virgin's crew who spend half their time away or paxing all over the nation.

Any Tiger Crew
Hi guys,
I have been offered a cabin crew position with Tiger (training start Jan 4th) but am hearing so many negatives re times, duties, conditions, etc.
If there is any current Tiger crew out there - what are they REALLY like to work for ??
I don't want to start flying , find out its not worth it then have to pay back the training fee.
I have a friend who is crew with VB and has said not to take it, but then that could be just him - I don't know!!
Any info would be much appreciated.

extra hours
Have been hearing a bit about Tiger crew working well over/past their rostered hours.
Can anybody tell me if these additional 'overtime' hours are paid extra or do you still receive the same amount of pay regardless of how many extra hours you work.
Also, thanks crazywogboy for your email, all information appreciated.

over time
you are paid very generously per hour of flying. Also known as, flight pay. So if you are rostered, say 10 hours of actual flying, excluding sign-on, pre-flight briefing, you are paid flight pay for these 10 hours, and that's it (above your full-time salary of course). Beyond that, forget it.
So if your flight hours are rostered as 90 per month, and you actually 'fly' 110, - great! Put the extra 20 down to good faith.
Could be worse, you could be unemployed or working in a boring role.
Tiger does offer the opportunity to fly. You just need not be be a princess thinking you're working for Thai or Cathay - ain't gonna happen.
All the best!

I work for Tiger.
Let's set the record straight...
- Great Company
- Fantastic Fun Crew
Average hours for the month, 125 in Adelaide, 150 in Melbourne
Cabin Crew take home (clear) $800 a week or more...
Crew In Charge (clear) $900-$950 a week or more...
Staff Travel with Tiger Australia and Tiger Singapore (not Singapore Airlines) after working 6 months
I enjoy the job, the people, I have also worked for numerous Airlines, and it's all much of a muchness...
We clean the aircraft on turnarounds
We clean the toilets on top of drop (descent)
We only get provided Coffee/Tea/Hot Choc and Water (bring your own food)
Ground School training is fun, hard, enjoyable.
You pay for your ASIC card, $70 a month carparking,
DO IT, GO FOR IT, you will not be disappointed.
Next Recruitment day is Tuesday 22nd Dec 2009 for Adelaide.
Hope this helps

re car parking costs
I can tell you all now that it is $70 a month .. I have a few friends that work there..
you will also pay for uniform alterations, shoes, cabin baggage..
also the cost of purchasing your ASIC and your drug screening test which you need to start training..
all that should be explained to you I would imagine..
