Which Pooley's Ground School Books Should I Start With?
Hi everyone,
I'm just starting my ground school studies for my PPL and I've noticed that Pooley's books are quite comprehensive (and expensive!). To keep costs down, I'd like to start by buying only the essential books that will help me pass the exams so I am ready for solo flights.
Could anyone recommend which Pooley's books are crucial to begin with and which specific sections or topics I should focus on? I want to make sure I'm covering the key material without spending too much time or money on areas that aren't immediately relevant for the exams.
Any advice from those who have been through this process would be greatly appreciated!

You need to pass air law before you solo.

Can’t find anything on the CAA that makes it a mandatory condition to pass before solo. However I think it would be pretty silly thing not to do this and Ops Procedures. It contains basically the things you “must” do when you are operating an aircraft.
