GlobeAir Austria

...any news about them?
Heard they struggle with the investors, downsizing fleet, releasing crew, terminating office staff...
What is going on there?

Cecco 20th Jan 2014 12:24

Last April, they added two C510 to their fleet and as a whole, the company looked pretty strong. Dunno what happened since then.

Alexander Pichler 4th Feb 2014 21:06

Still seeing them often in Zurich and Bourget.

LGW Vulture 4th Feb 2014 21:59

Plodding on - against what the market suggests. It's only a matter of time IMHO before the inevitable happens.

Tekor Bali 11th Feb 2014 08:02

:-) who? F,B e DR ???the board!!!

munich2 18th Feb 2014 09:00

???

....am I the only one who doesn't understand?

Tekor Bali 18th Feb 2014 21:01

What I can tell you is that I see their aircraft and their crews around airports in Europe. I do not think they have problems. I spoke with a Captain last summer and he was happy about the Company. But maybe someone from inside might help us.

Booglebox 18th Feb 2014 21:46

I spoke to some chaps there a little while ago, they seem to be keeping their head above the water

LGW Vulture 18th Feb 2014 23:00

A pit that is soon to find its bottom.

Flawed concept unless they are totally committed to market domination.

Yeager 29th Aug 2015 00:18

With such an impressive 51.000Euro a year salary for Commanders, no doubt that only the best of the best Captains will be looking to join asap. Why would you not.. LMFAO :yuk::yuk::yuk:

Primary Governor 29th Aug 2015 04:26

And....only 25K for the TR, where do I sign

Yeager 30th Aug 2015 02:27

Hell yeah 25K for such a great TR.. Only if your the best, will you fit in too such an impressive proposal.. It's just too good to be true... :}:D

dan1165 30th Aug 2015 07:45

Don't worry they will find plenty of folks ready to pay :ugh:

jetsun 30th Aug 2015 09:49

IT issue

If we can get past the first barrier: the Globeair 'jobs@' email address provided doesn't even work.

McDoo 30th Aug 2015 10:44

It's worth the job just so you can indulge yourself with lobster and champagne in the Geneva Kempinski. eu30 per day should cover that nicely....

Yeager 30th Aug 2015 13:04

Yeah.. I can only imagine the commanders being attracted to this awesome deal.. Only the best of the best would be attracted to this great offer.. :}:ok:

papazulu 30th Aug 2015 16:04

Only the best of the best would be attracted to this great offer..
Why do they have to be ALL bad sticks or questionable individuals?

PZ

RunBoyRun 30th Aug 2015 21:05

...and what about 28k GROSS for a FO !? :oh: Oh well..at least they're clear on one thing.. forget your summer holidays..

Yeager 31st Aug 2015 15:22

@papazulu - Nobody said that they are all bad sticks, my friend.. But lets not get unrealistic about the offer on the table - it is pathetic at best - and it will not attract any experienced and well qualified Commanders. This is a stepping stone job, that anybody would want to move away from, onto the bigger and better (much better) paid jobs. Just the way it is.

Hawker 800 2nd Sep 2015 06:40

What crappy terms and conditions, let alone pay...

dodo85 24th Sep 2015 08:44

Worked for them 3 year

Working Conditions

Hi dodo85,

Ive just applied to globe air as an FO NTR. Just wanted to ask you what to expect. Do they provide the type (bond) or it it the usual cash up from scenario?

Regards

J

Global_Global 29th Sep 2015 10:07

remember that you will take a big risk investing in a TR for an aircraft type that hardly anybody flies, the ones that are there make minimal hours so no good for hourbuilding and with a company that is (or at least was) financially shacky..... :suspect:

Erwan 5th Oct 2015 08:27

Online test

Basic questions yes, but I found the mix quiet unusual though... Specially for a timed test!
I think my performance won't be good enough.
Good luck to anyone who got invited!

ruskin 6th Oct 2015 22:15

financially shaky ? do you have access to the numbers or yours are just hearsay?

Erwan 7th Oct 2015 13:03

Who has been invited for a selection so far?

Personally received a negative response by email after the online test.

It would be great to know the profile of the pilot who got through.

Best of luck,
Erwan

eaglescout 7th Oct 2015 22:06

May88 8th Oct 2015 16:44

Got a rejection mail as well!

Personally I am interested in the profile of the chap that concocted their online 'assessment'; Must be quite a hoot at parties! :D

Anyway, good luck to those that got through! Enjoy your time in GA while it lasts!

seven3 8th Oct 2015 16:58

I also received the rejection email on the 6th.

We have decided to proceed with other applicants who more closely fit our needs at this time.
What does it concretely mean ?

USA1pilot 8th Oct 2015 17:40
