Thanks for all the feedback best stay away from that one on my year off with NJE, it sounds like a complete and utter mess, no wonder no one stays. I heard 2 pilots were let go in the last 12 months as well today due to the CP ego.

BIG//40/FL260 22nd Jun 2010 11:07

As a NJE employee you'll be a professional corporate pilot and thus will probably have eliminated yourself from consideration by one of the two midlands operators. I understand that all their corporate pilots have gone and they seem now only to recruit from one particular airline.

northern boy 22nd Jun 2010 11:43

Hello Rusty, another NJE G5 on the scrapheap/year off here. I've been banging my head against a brick wall with other G5 operators since last September. Nothing doing. I'm resigned to waiting until December. Hope I can remember how to fly.

Hopefully the next year off might be a bit easier. Then again....

Beware another G5 operator

Not in the same league, but Dana Executive in UAE is recruiting G5, (clasic!!!!!!!) , the only rotation there is the door, crews all fired, for no known reason, except after 2 years most leave anyway, its the sand in the eyes.

Seriously, the add on 350 is rose tinted.

If you are offered the post, ask for the salary....they are reluctant to provide details...... also:

Ask for the housing allowance, or accomodation provided.

Ask for the education allowance, not that expensive for the 4 kids.

Ask if the annual return ticket home can be taken as cash.....

Lastly ask for business class flights for an inspection tour for you and your 4 children.

It gets very quiet over the weekend so dont hold your breath.

There is a thread for DANA on Middle East forums.

BIG//40/FL260 is right, Rusty. In fact don't go anywhere near either of the midlands operators if you value your sanity and integrity.

Rusty Trombone 29th Jun 2010 14:02

GV Midlands.

All good words of advice I guess I will look in another direction, I spoke with a former pilot recently and he thinks the man needs to see a doctor and have some medicine. its a very odd operation indeed and the CP is a total control freak by the sounds of things, no wonder no one stays? I hear he is now pursuing 2 latest victims in the courts for the training bond. :)

This was the link I was sent from recruiter I called her back and told her now not interested and basically withdraw my application.
They are chasing 2 pilots he ran off recently for their training bonds, one is in court for bullying and the other for non payment of bond. DO YOUR HOMEWORK Before you become another vulture to the prey of a GV rating.
His last name says it all, I bumped him to him in LSGG recently and what a total freak.
Total Pilots whom have left in 7 years =8 one only lasting 4 weeks and 3 days?

I have given up on this operation after hearing that the Chief Pilot will type you and then bond you? make your life hell and then find a way to terminate your employment because he does not like you or his son has thrown his teddy bear crockodilly pigs out of the pram.

After discussing this in detail with former pilots 2 of them were in the courts have left me to say no to his offer of employment.

No GV Job or Type Rating is worth the punishment you will endure from this individual was stated by some nice guy I spoke to whom is currently on a Gag order whom was put on the scrap heap after the CP had had his way with him and punished and bully boy tactics. He has just found a part time job flying a regional Jet.

Another Pilot stated that if unfortunately the CP died he would go to the funeral to ensure he was actually dead?

I guess IJM and IJC Gamma all seem normal now :(

Just caught up with this thread and surprised it's taken so long to pop up again.
-
The court cases seem to be a part of the strategy.
Maybe nobody is allowed to stay long as they might get the ear of the boss and run off with the contract.
Not that this would ever happen - very old skeletons in closets perhaps!
-
Incidentally, the '4 weeks and 3 days' guy actually got awarded 6 months pay.
-
What would be interesting to know is what view the aviation authorities have on all this - if they even know.
All sorts of issues must surely be raised.
Perhaps it's the Cayman Reg that is providing the haven?
-
The other big question is have enough Diners Club points been collected to finally get the Bentley? Surely a taxable perk!

Dear Daisy Chain
Not sure about the Bentley but the Porsche 911 may have to be traded in against something a little bigger with the event of crockodilly pig needing a baby seat.

GV Revolving Door at EGBB

My My Chaps I have been following the comments on this topic and its horrific what this operation has done over the years providing in the CP eyes a flying club is somewhat good in some respect. He certainly has type rated more GV pilots than any one I know.
With the latest victims I just wonder what the owners actually think. Twin Rated and Rusty are very true to the exact detail.
It has to be the worst run operation in history, but with some of the nicest owners. This man has wasted millions on this operation with the way he has carried on over the years and 3 pilots dismissed within 18 months what does that say in addition to the 6 in the last 5 years.
He is indeed a complete and utter mad man and I caution anyone whom goes near the operation to be on their guard, he is a complete bully, arrogant person whom is at best like Robert Diniro in Anaylise this.

Charming person at times until the Jeckyl and Hyde come out of his black country brain of his with a Ruler to slap you across your knuckles.:\

Rusty Trombone 7th Sep 2010 21:04

Revolving Door

wow Victorian Dad you are a man of very wise advice, my advice totally stay away as well.
May be the authorities and a call from BALPA will start the ball rolling or better still a trip to lusanne or monaco to explain to the owners?:\

daisychain 8th Sep 2010 05:41

Here's the thing.
The CP was originally a constable.
After getting into aviation he eventually took over the Coventry/Birmingham operation whilst the original old boss was still running the family business.
Since 'the old man' retired both he (if he's still with us) and the next generations of the family seem reluctant to question the CP and his methods:
The trail of discarded pilots and the associated costs (including court cases).
The money spent on qualifying CP Junior from scratch.
The grief handed out to Gulfstream, Maintenance and Service organisations, FBOs and Training providers (who must surely add a little something for the humiliating treatment they also receive).
-
One has to assume the family and the company directors are aware of all this. They ultimately sign off the accounts.
So it would also seem reasonable to assume he's untouchable. 'Why' is the interesting question and probably one that will never be answered. Not on this forum anyway.
The 'skeletons in the closet' comment and the fact that the CP used to be a PC would undoubtedly be career enhancing.
So it's the aviation authorities that CAN make a difference and it would be rather nice if this little empire was to crumble. The owners and company directors would presumably be grateful to.

jungle drums 8th Sep 2010 13:01

Does this CP have a UK or JAA/EASA ATPL?

daisychain 8th Sep 2010 13:08

Fairly sure it's an FAA ticket with Bermudan validation.
Not convinced it's an ATP.

wigwag 8th Sep 2010 15:47

Dear Daisy Chain thanks for your input I think this is very informative, Yes i was wondering if the Bermudian BDCA would be interested in this topic. I wonder how many validations they have applied for.
The Insurance for low time First officers is also a issue.

It sounds like he is pretty well protected within the company, however no one bullet proof.
Maybe the former pilots should get together and brain storm accordingly, they have certainly a reputation etc.:uhoh:

merlinxx 10th Sep 2010 06:27

Yup tis "Brian Viscount" (changed name to protect the innocent):=

DUAL RATED 10th Sep 2010 09:35

Old boss still there, When he does pass away think the company will probably go public to release cash out the company for the owners. Think that will change things for the CP and empire will crumble, but would guess the aircraft would go with the family as part of the pay off. Think CP only has caa cpl and flying based on FAA ticket and bermudan validation. Should set up a DL appreciation society on face book for those from the past and parties where we dress up in funny tash glasses comedy outfit with a belly and suit on :)

daisychain 10th Sep 2010 09:37

Nibbled to death by ducks.

How many folk monitoring this thread have firsthand experience of this operation?
Anyone that has and feels there are flight safety issues then the first two organisations that need to know are:

Peter Adheman, Flt Ops Inspector
Government of Bermuda, Department of Civil Aviation.

Marcus Doller, Personnel Licensing Specialist
Air Safety Support International (ASSI)

Not allowed to post their Emails here but both can be found by Googling their names.

Human Factors and compromising flight safety are the issues.

The authorities will only take note if a significant number of credible people bring this to their attention.
It doesn't just have to be Pilots. Engineers and ATC most likely also have a tale to tell.

And the little ducks went quack, quack!

daisychain 11th Sep 2010 02:11

OK. I've done my bit.
