FLT OPS SCENARIO

Heard the entire office has been moved to Bahrain from Geneva. Ops have begun from 1st of April. Is the same scenario applies for Flight Dispatchers (Hire and Fire)? does anyone know the payscale for dispatchers?

comlux a great company

I have been a pilot at comlux for several years, and i am very happy and proud to work for this company.
The aircraft which left the fleet and went to execujet changed 3 times ! so it will be the same in a few months ! it will change again !

Pprune

YES::::::This is what is helpful about PPrune.....you see an advert, remember the company as having been a good employer, and think to send a CV. Check them out first and discover that......oops.........huge problems, not paying, management not communicating etc....and suddenly the minor issues where you are, seem-----minor!

Do not need this sort of headache. No Swiss AOC, aircraft gone, the reputation and experience levels shot........who needs it!??

Unless you have huge debts or are unemployed for years and years, STAY AWAY
From thiscompany!

Perfect match for me then as I qualify to your list. Lol. Can someone shine some light on the Embraer Lineage 1000 f/o position, based in Bahrain???

- What's Bahrain like for a family?
- Flying hrs/patterns/time away/destinations?
- Anything pay related!!! (USD/CHF/BHD, what allowances) What's average pay monthly incl all?
- Is there a possibility to upgrade to command or change fleet to Airbus?
- More Lineage 1000's coming or just the one?
- Will base stay Bahrain or very likely to get moved around? (at short notice?)

From all the info on pprune I know the company/management is in a bad state, but I'm without a job so want to fly/work my balls off again!

Any news about hiring or conditions for pilots?

Denim and leather 6th Jun 2013 05:54

Loosing contracts, and layoffs.

T&Cs

Does anyone have any updated/current terms & conditions info on Comlux, especially for the European operations?

Roster, Hotel quality when on the road, security?

Any info would be great.

Thanks

The only think, I know, expect to sign a Maltese contract...so good luck.

I recently applied for the 737 gig in africa with comulux i have nearly double the in type requirement but fall about 500 hours short of the total time, are comulux very strict on the hour requirement or may i still be considered? have many people applied?

LGW Vulture 5th May 2014 21:13

I wouldn't bother sending your CVs in at the minute or trying to research T&Cs. Their golden goose has apparently been sterilised - how on earth they plan to find a bigger goose (and golden at that) is beyond me.

Kelly Hopper 6th May 2014 01:31

That comment is a little worrying. Would you care to elaborate?

FerrypilotDK 9th May 2014 18:18

Although there is a bit of friction with certain "airline weenies" who try to treat on demand charter just like a scheduled airline, along with a fleet of readily available back-up aircraft.......the company functions, pay arrives on time and most of the people are pleasant and friendly. Per diems are less than I got in 2008(!) but all in all, quite nice as a total package. Salary depends on type, roster etc and these vary from aircraft to aircraft.
There is more bureaucracy than I would consider necessary and a tendency to protecting "turf." Communications within offices seems antiquated and almost Soviet-style, or Eastern European, with clear hierarchy, rather than easy social conversation and just getting the job done.
No where is perfect, but this will be fine the next 10 years!
There is no reason to avoid Comlux IMHO.

767 VVIP UK or Bahrain

Curious about this opening. Working as freelance. I may apply for several reasons, but I am currently employed. Before I fill in the application I was wondering if anyone has any other info. Salary? Basing? Roster? why UK or Bahrain? If anyone can shed any light greatly appreciated. Also edited to add that I would be applying as an FO so I guess upgrade potential?

LGW Vulture 28th May 2014 15:25

After what I wrote earlier? Flying freelance for them - no guarantees? Leave current employment?

You sure?

gorter 28th May 2014 15:32

Comlux Aviation

Well you don't really elaborate on what you mean by a sterilised golden goose. Obviously this isn't my only avenue of enquiry. Just trying to do some due diligence. I know very little about the company, just trying to do research.

LGW Vulture 28th May 2014 15:46

Can't elaborate. However, there are enough pointers for you already if you do your homework properly.

Does anyone know what's the real story behind the positions they keep advertising on their GLEX (FO/KZ) and CL605 (again FO/UK)?

Those openings seem have been there forever (the GLEX at least) so either they use more crew than fuel or their fleet must count more airframes than the USAF!

McDoo 13th Nov 2015 14:29

Does anyone have any up to date info on working for Comlux?

They are looking for a Hawker captain, presumably out of Moscow although they refer to a 'European' base. Have they got to grip with the previously mentioned woes?

Has anyone been offered rotational contracts 14/14 etc?

Cheers

McD :ok:
