Where is Bobby Johnson - BBJ Driver? Status of his book?

I haven't seen Bobby Johnson post any of his interesting BBJ posts recently. I have seen his website and I am aware that he was writing a book about his move from BA to BBJ - any status update on that? Sounds like a great read - very interesting jump indeed.... So, Bobby, let us know how you are doing and where you have been...........

I just recently saw a wingletted BBJ with the registration C6-TTB in a great paint scheme. It is registered to a company called Westmount Investments - I also saw a picture of it landing at Luton. I understand that it is Bahamian registered, but I was wondering if it was based in the UK... Anyone know anything about Westmount Investments - do they need more pilots (I had to ask...)?

Cheers

Westmount's Airplane has been on the market since November last. Probably the most lavishly fitted BBJ out there. Interior spec is rather blinding!

Westmount are Canadian I think, but sorry, don't think any positions are available.

Westmount = Thomas Bachmann. Swiss Industrialist.

Heard a rumour the aircraft was sold. Was surprised as he wanted 60 big ones.

They've had big turnover. Most or all of the flightcrew rolled over last year together with at least ten F/A's. I've got CV's of some folk who didn't last a month there. Strange business.

Nice a/c. Was done by Ozark.

Just to get back to the original question......... last time that i met BJ, he was alive and kicking his heels in the local Hilton......

Not sure about the book, but i would guess that it would have to be written after his present tenure in the corporate world.

Hi Lav,

Thanks for the interest, I am now unemployed, I have not been on PPRuNe for a long time, it was discouraged. Looks like my idea of a bit more excitement was not to be. I was basically led up the garden path and then things got unpleasant so I resigned. This I must say was nothing to do with the Owner or Principal of the aircraft who was extremely pleasant to work for.

Anyone know of a job on the BBJ!!!!

Best Regards
Bobby Johnson

There must be at least two sides (or maybe even more?) to all good aviation stories...

727 Exec

You are right of course, I am not going into it either, just to say that neither of us saw 'eye to eye' and that's all that needs to be said.

Good to hear that you still have yr sense of humour!

remember we spoke in the pub (when I gave you the BBJ pics!) about the idea of photographing Cruisers from the air? Any more thoughts??? Needn't be from a B206. PM me!

So, what's next?

Bobby,

Very sorry to hear about your situtation. You have provided us, though, with a good look at what it would be like to take a big leap and experience a great corporate flying challenge....

So, what's next for you? Would you consider another airline stint like Ryanair (at least same type as the BBJ), Easyjet, Emirates or maybe Virgin (not sure if they are hiring)? There are probably a few direct-hire 737 jobs in the UK that would love your experience... Would you prefer another corporate gig?

Keep us informed - we appreciate it. Best of luck.

Cheers

Yikes when i wrote this i didnt think that you would have the opportunity to start on the book quite so soon.

I reckon that i will feature in a couple of the chapters so can i have a say in which actor plays my role in the follow on movie!

I was great pleasure to meet you, I look forward to doing it again.

Good Luck.
