Dubai Exec Start up
Has anyone any information about this start up, they advertised in FI, for BBJ and GLF crews, but so far nothing else. Who are they, Any funds, or Just Hot Air. Is it worth a CV or not?
Perhaps should be posted on ME, but that looks like airline type stuff.

Been there got the T Shirt.
The interviews over two days, CAE Dubai, were well conducted.
The T and C are strongly biased towards a tax paying family man with 3.5 children, and a rented home.
For example salary 6500 US per month. Housing allowance, (almost unlimited), childrens edukation (sic) allowance, (almost unlimited, several other perks, a per diem, (only when out of ABU DHADI, (the base)).
For an existing ex pat like myself the salary plus perdiem is about half my existing situation, whilst the benefits are similar. Except the car.!!!!
Checked yesterday the temperature in Abu Dhabi was over 45 C, and not even summer.
In the local newspaper the official launch was covered. A lot of money spent and only one aircraft, a BBJ, the G300 not due until late August 2003.
More information via PM if interested guys.....
The company is Royal Jet, the senior management are all UK airline, and the intention is to run as a UK airline....6 on 2 off...... CAA/JAA FTL......However the clients are expecting a Ad hoc charter operation......I hope it works.....I wish them the best of luck, as I await a call back.....

I was there
I did not get a T shirt.
But I agree with you regarding the salary,
but with my 4 children, I think it is great, very hot, but still great. Mostly ambulance flights. I am also waiting for a response, but its only been a few days, and the big boys toys are not due for a long time yet.

I was interested - but now...
I'd heard that the T and C does favour persons moving lock, stock and barrell to the warmer climes.
As a single person (no dependants - just a teddy!) it suddenly becomes less attractive to me.
Sounds like a fun job for those with families - enjoy!!

Not even trying!
hummm, well although the M.E. might not be what it was, the same basics apply ( maybe even more now )
...to get high calibre drivers you'd be looking at circa $10K month, 2 on 1 off, rtn flights home, housing etc etc.....
I doubt with the deal they offer that there will be any heavyweight takers ( & after all that is what they need )
oh and these!

changes in T_E
Already changes.......the requirement to live in Abu Dhabi, is the ability to be within one hour of the airport....this permits much better value housing......
All I want now is the package to be flexi.......
Still waiting for my interview expenses, but at least one guy has received his.....
Have any Gulfstream crew been hired yet.?????????????

Saw there ad in FI last week looks very interesting but me thinks that they will have to offer a bit more on the salary for a gulfstream crew, mine are certainly on a lot more than that
Hope it works out for them.

ad in flight
I was surprised to see cabin crew in the ad. I was told and a hosti was told that they have all the cabin crew they need....I have seen most of them, all nice and fresh, perfect for the job, nice uniform too.
6,500 US per month is not enough for most of us.....even with accomodation provided....

Nice and fresh
I was trying to be PC.........I had the pleasure to meet many of them in Abu Dhabi, at a social function, as well as in full dress uniform.....The social life over there is perfectly acceptable, and the delicate roses of the aviation world were a joy to behold.....Now back to the PC sh$te .....As to this week, no more news, but I would like to know when they receive the G300's. I have a spy in SAV this week so perhaps news next week...

Confirming Info
I know some bits 'n' bobs about em.
They are effectively a commercial offshoot of the AUH Amiri Flight operating 1 BBJ at the mo with 2 G300 to arrive I believe in Sept. They do Medevac, VIP and a bizarre weekly operation a la PrivatAir style to GVA. They are well financed and seem thoroughly profesional

Hello Darlins'
I was at the Doctor's in Walford this morning ,getting me' veins checked ,flickin' thru a copy of Business Traveller Middle East. Good write up on p.10 about Royal Jet. Uniform looks great.Until Sept the BBJ is $8,500 an hour with 2 x G300 arriving by sept. It's got potential, but with EK first class so good and GF relaunching will it be worth the extra money ?
'Ere Kat... bring us up a crate of mixers from the cellar treacle....
