Question Interviewing with the Regionals

Greetings all.

I hope some of you can assist me with information about typical interviewing formats and questions one could expect when interviewing with a Regional carrier like Comair, American Eagle, Northwest Airlink etc. Any information will be greatly appreciated and am sure could help out some other fellow pilots interested in the regionals as well.

Looking forward to any replies on this matter.
Cheers

Regional Interview Info

They are mostly similar for the most part. Start off by talking a little bit about yourself, background, interests, etc.. Then, why do you want to work for them, then, what to do when a captain goes below minimums, explain some jep charts, read some weather reports, interpret some FARs for alt. alt mins etc., then which equipment would u like to fly here, etc.. etc... There is also usually a written exam based on the lines of an ATP written, as well as a sim check with no surprises. They will also discuss any flying incidents/accidents, DUIs, traffic violations, etc.. The set up is usually an HR person and a senior captain or two.

Good luck, for a $1,600 per month job.

This web site should be able to answer your questions. I used it for my Aloha Island Air interview and found it very helpful. Covers most US regionals.
