Getting into Bizjets in Australia/nz/asia

Hi there,

Has anyone got advice on how to get into bizjets in Australia/NZ or asia? I see the odd job advertised but its always for a highly experienced type rated captain.

If you're in GA with 2600 hours and no multi crew, is it best to try go fly a dash 8 or similar and boost up your multi crew hours first?

Cheers

Most of my mates have had significant multi pilot/jet time and time on type. All were head hunted.
You need to make yourself competitive. A Dash 8 is a good start, have you considered Coastwatch? I think they have Challenger 605s or something. A useful type.
Being from GA you're used to doing everything from collecting pax and chucking bags. You'll be doing that and a lot more. Networking is key. If you can, chat to the crews if and when you see them.

You can always buy your own jet and hire yourself to fly it. I've always wanted to be self-employed, but I just can't seem to pass the interview.
