Hi
any words of advice ? coming from Cartagena Colombia to KFLL booked Signature FBO at FLL
The procedure is to taxi first to be cleared by customs which is located at taxiway L and than taxi again to FBO ramp ? is that correct ?
How the customs look like ? they coming on board , do they search the aircraft ? Does FBO guy pick up passengers from customs or they need to board the aircraft again to be on board while taxing to FBO ramp ?

Yes, after landing you request taxi to Sheltair. This FBO also houses (next to their buildings) the GA customs/immigration center. After entering the ramp via L or L1 you park on the ramp. Make sure you call Signature before landing and request assistance there.
EVERYBODY and ALL bags/suitcases (also crew) have to come off the aircraft to go through immigration and baggage screening on arrival. In case that you are carrying passenger it may be advisable to have them picked up there and not at Signature. Also make sure one of you crew bring a credit card, because you will have to pay Sheltair for the use of the customs terminal and a passenger/processing fee. Obviously you'll need to dump your international trash there as well before leaving the ramp.
When you are done, you can go back out to your plane and taxi it over to the Signature ramp.
