"Tech Log" App?

Does anyone use, or can you recommend, an app based (preferably - rather than PC based) tech log/record keeping facility for our Chipmunk?
ie to track all aircraft information Take-off/Landing/Flight Duration, Numbers of take-offs and landings. total airframe hours, total powerplant/propellor hours, Time since (or to) next 50 hour, next annual, spar check, undercarriage X-Ray.and all the other regulatory record requirements
Possible link to de Havilland support ?
It would be good to have all the information stored in a Cloud facility so that it can be accessed by all owners at any time.
Thanks for any information
Regards
Jonesy

We use FD Manager for our Gulfstreams and Globals. www.fdmanager.aero

It is an iPad app that also has a desktop application. It does track all the items you asked about, and depending on your maintenance program, it can track the status. We use CMP/CAMP, and it works. I believe you can even customize it as needed.

I would not say it's the greatest, but to date, I have yet to find anything that is better. We have been using it for about 8 years on all our aircraft.

I hope this helps.

Hi cojones,

I create .pdf eForms, and amongst this I also create eTechlogs, which may suit your purpose? The design can incorporate the areas that you desire, can be designed to your own personal specifications (I.e. not committed to a normal commercial entities own idea of a User Interface), and whilst not maybe having the same “back end” functions necessarily possible with the commercially available apps, it won’t cost tens of thousands to set-up and get going. You could then use an app such as Readdles PDF Expert with sync to say, drop-box….

if of interest, PM me or post back here and can send my business email etc., I think maybe this is more what your thinking of? I will admit that I am currently in the throes of completing an eTechlog product for an airline at present, so may be a little lead time if it proves something you might want to consider….that and working out of MIA for the next month at least on and off…

Sorry for not having replied sooner - thanks for your suggestion. I'll have a look and check prices.
All best

Sounds a bit tricky and complicated for an old Luddite like me - but thank you anyway. BRgds Back to the old paper log!

Hi cojones,

I'm as simple as they come, so know how you feel....that's why I take your existing paper version, and I just add the benefits of some JavaScript code to the .pdf, to make it easy to use and remove the errors ;-) trust me....if you can use a pen and paper, you can use the electronic version much more readily and with ease.....
