GARMIN 5000 automatic reversion from FMS to LOC mode

Hi

Do you remember conditions need to be met for automatic switch from active FMS to armed LOC/GS mode ?
Sometimes it switch sometimes not I guess it's a matter of active waypoint navigating to , if it's after FAF than no automatic switch from "magenta" source to "green" but I'm not sure .

Cheers

I think the active waypoint needs to be the final approach point/fix.

- an approach has been loaded, localizer frequency has been tuned
- FAF is the active waypoint
- you're moving towards the FAF and it's less than 15 NM away
- CDI deviation is less that 1.2 dot
