CAE trainings.
Hello, I would like to inform you about the high costs of the recurrent with CAE , is it normal to suffer these prohibitive costs especially for the independent pilots, why? Is it because CAE dominates the market?

Which aircraft are you talking about? Have you contacted flightsafety? Each of the CAE locations can and do compete against each other so it's worth checking with each region.
I think most everyone know the cost of recurrent is extremely high - it's a high profit end of the market because there are so few simulators out there as a result of there being relatively few aircraft and pilots needing training.

These FTO's are tuned to business jet owners paying the bill and their associated costs. Therefore they are charging whatever the market will stand. Coupled with such little competition the cost is all out of proportion to the training. You MUST be employed to deal with this. To even consider personally paying for any private jet training is insane.
CAE is less expensive than Flight Safety everytime. Having said that CAE insisted that it was mandatory for me to do a complete initial course again after 3 years at a cost of €50,000!
Flight safety confirmed that this was bollox and that all I need was a recurrent plus one extra day at a cost of €100,000! I kid you not. 6 days in a sim and they insisted on €100,000.
There are thieves and there are thieves. FLIGHT SAFETY FARNBOROUGH. For 6 days in a sim you insisted on more than my entire 35 year pension pot. I decided it was cheaper to retire!

You usually do an OPC every six month (provided you fly in commercial ops) which is paid by the operator. LPC and OPC are almost the same, just talk to the operator & examiner beforehand and you will have an LPC every 6 month at minimal costs.

There are huge diffferences in costs for training at FSI, My GV rating with 450/440 differences, was around 29K while my flying partners bill was closer to 65K as his bill was directly a result of a new airplane purchase. In other words, that is what FSI billed Gulfstream for the pilots training as a part of the total sales packge associated with the purchase of the new G550.
