Pilatus PC-24 testing at Rock Barracks, Woodbridge Airfield


Pilatus tested their new PC-24 recently on former RAF Woodbridge ( USAF 81st TFW and 39th SOW until 1993) now Rock Barracks runway.

I believe using the rough runway is in certifying the a/c for their first customer Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Nice video, thanks for posting. It looks like a good bit of kit - all the better if it was designed right from the outset to deal with rough field conditions.

Just one question for anyone who knows more than I .. Why only a single nosewheel, if it's going into unknown / less than ideal places? Surely a double would be safer?
