Net Jet
As a retiring Airline pilot I am looking into job opportunities after 60. I noticed on the Net Jet application there is a block asking if you have ever had a driving while intoxicated? Does anyone know if this is an absolutely disqualifying area? I had one over twenty-five years ago with no problems driving or flying since.
Appreciate any information that anyone associated with Net Jet can provide.

Check here to see if any record of your DUI is on file:

Most records are removed after five years.

No offence, but frankly as a retiring AIRLINE pilot i dont think that it would be good for you or Netjets to join.
I do appreciate the fact that you have accumulated a wealth of knowledge.
However in our kind of work you wont enjoy the splendid isolation behind the doors of an airliner cockpit that you may be acustomed to.
You have to like the interaction with the passengers who are not just selfloading freight but the OWNERS of the aircraft.
You will be teamed up with one person for six days in a row and be expected not to make that persons life a misery.
No baggagehandlers or loadmasters either.
If i was in your shoes id enjoy everyday playing with my grandchildren.
Again no offence just concern for everyone involved.

Fakawi,\
As a neighbour of NJME, it is standard practice for us to move airline captains from the left seat of a B747 into the left seat of a Gulfstream. By all accounts they do an excellent job and are extremely used to spending extended periods of time with both the customer and the first officer.
