Commercial operation on an EASA AOC "on condition"
Dear all,
I was wondering, if it is possible, to operate an aircraft (PA34) commercially on an EASA AOC whilst one engine would be on condition due to its 12 year time expiration?
However, the engine is not expired hours wise just calendar.
The other engine such as both propellers are within calendar and hours TBO.
Is this eventually possible under Austrian, German, Swiss, Luxembourg, Maltese, Guernsey, San Marino etc. registration?
Would appreciate your feedback.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, hence the rules for your AOC are laid out by the country under which the AOC is registered, this country would be the one to tell you whether this is acceptable or not. Secondly, the registering country of the aircraft will have to accept (approve) your maintenance program. I have not heard lately about any EU country accepting "violated" TBOs other that for scheduling purposes to get the "overdue" component scheduled in any overhaul facility. So all in all, ask you authority but don't be surprised if they won't accept your request. Best regards, Robert
