PVT flight in/out France

Hello everyone,
we are planning a flight to smaller VFR apt in France from state in Schengen area. Rumours says, that we need a stop for passport check on bigger intl airport with customs control. We are under PVT ops. From my point of view we should be good to go, as mentioned NOTAM is adressed to "airline carriers". Am I right?
Been recently in LFTZ and no customs required from their side. But nobody on VFR fields confirm this.

How about speaking to Customs at the nearest larger airfield and asking their advice? That's what I'd suggest - ideally get response in writing.

Guess you have to go worst case then. I'm assuming you've tried Nice?

If they can give you an answer in writing, a printout will help when you're hit by the GIPN

I've tried Avignon, Grenoble, Lyon, Chambery, Annecy, Dijon, La Mole. But need to go to Courchevel... Direct...

On some places no customs required. On some passport control. On the others gendec in advance.

I'd be very interested in the outcome as I need to operate from LFMZ to Spain next week and like yourself found the only reference to be the NOTAM.

For the time being outcome is, that 2 of above mentioned airports does not require passport control, 1 require gendec only and rest of them customs. Better to cross borders by car... :-\
