Aviate, Navigate....but you do need to Communicate at some point.

I would submit lack of unicom useage is definitely not at the top of the list of cockups in this incident...

Curious to see performance numbers, both taking off and landing with contaminated surface for this make/model at 9000' MSL airport with only 7100 feet of runway. I guess the good news is there is EMAS at both ends.

It's go'n to take a hand full of left aileron to fly that puppy out of there.

Actually - I think the snow plow was the EMAS.

I dunno - I think a UNICOM call that got a response "Airport closed - plowing operations on runway" might have given the crew pause. Montrose is a short 10-minute diversion away - with an ILS.

No ailerons on the Beechjet--uses spoilers for roll control.
