Aircraft Ferry out of the USA to Europe
Hi Folks
A simple question if i may please:
To ferry a new jet from Wichita on a non USA reg to Canada and on to Europe, do we need;
1, A TSA waiver?.
2, Do the non USA crew need Visas, if they came in under the visa waiver system?
Or, what else might we need?
Thanks

TSA Waiver required.
Crew can exit under the waiver scheme.
APIS required.
CANPASS notification prior to entry into Canada.
I assume the aircraft will have a standard C of A ?

Are you sure about the visa waiver for operating crew of a non-VWP carrier? I would have expected them to need C1/D visa to drive the plane.
Also understood CANPASS to be a regular users scheme that simplified notification to Canada Customs that could be done just as easily as a call to the local Customs office beforehand?

Ferrying a new airplane out of KICT? - Use your new aircraft "Customer status" with either Cessna or Learjet ops to help you out with that. They will be able to give you the full low down.

Assuming you are flying there on a commercial flight, then buy a return ticket so no visa required, the fact you are leaving on a non scheduled flight is immaterial just hand in your white customs paper I94 before departure or you can even mail it to customs, don't forget otherwise it will cause problems the next time you try to enter the USA.
