Embraer-135 overrun in VKO

British BizJet overrun today morning at landing in VKO. Nobody injured, as reported. Airport was closed for some time.

I believe the owner of that aircraft has the saying "Your Fired"

Wonder who the russians will be pointing the finger at this time, hopefully no trainee's where on duty

Knowing Vnukovo very well I am perplaxed as to why it could not stop in nearly 11500 feet of runway and plus temperatures?

Seems (from photo) it's not overrun but missed exit on taxi.

G-SIRA - L600 was with TwinJet
G-SUGA - L650 was with Titan then went to EDC
G-SUGR - L650 has been with EDC since delivery

Oops.

From a personal perspective I hope that there are many mitigating factors to protect the crew. Especially if this was being driven by one of the guys who has been on his Legacies since Lord was a Sir.

A more diligent, capable, flexible, friendly and all-round top guy I have yet to meet in all my years sat on many bizjet Ops desks.
