N300ET ? FlightAware

Spruce Creek Airport @ OurAirports

I hear there are no injuries, aircraft landing r/w 23 at Spruce Creek - off the left side of the end of the runway into a pond.

Occurred April 26/14 11:28 local.

The Citation CJ3 has landing specs of 2700 ft. She had a 4,000 ft strip plus an overrun before the water. Long landing?

they dried this one out and flew it again

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px8awNCvQFM

which is an all time fantastic view by the way.. gets quite exciting about 4 mins in.

could be brake failure, could be a burst tyre, could be a lack of talent, who knows.

When I go see Dr. Kurrle again in June, I'll ask him if he saw this happen and tended to any of the injured (if there were any).

I hadn't actually realized the OY-WET was put back in the air - I have a friend who recovers aircraft worldwide - he basically said just about any aircraft can be recovered and repaired (within reason) but it really comes down to $$$$.

In this case - this CJ is worth 4.5 - 5 million. I'll guess the hull was insured for 5 million - OY-JET was bought by Anglin Aircraft Recovery Services, it appears the over run occurred May 15, 2005, it was put into Anglin's title Jan 13 2006, and delivered to new owner Sept 2 2007.

So a lot of time and money!!
