UK adds more jets than any other EU country

cash-strapped Britain has taken delivery of more such planes – both jets and the turboprop variety – between 2007 and 2011 than any other European country.

The UK now boasts the second largest registered fleet of business aircraft in
Europe, with a total of 503, split between 369 jets and 134 turboprops.
Germany, which had the second largest number of business aircraft deliveries between 2007 and 2011 – up 69pc to 206 – has the biggest European fleet at 621.

Are you sure about this Mr. F900? Isle of Man is self governing and aircraft are registered under "M" not "G" as for GB, so I wonder if their numbers are included.

- Just asking as I seem to see quite a lot of M reg aircraft around, and they are a popular place to register your large business jet so as to avoid all the BS found on the continent and in USA.

F900, that doesn't add up, IOM has 580 aircraft on its registry.

F900, you are still missing the calculus. M has 580 aircraft on its registry and the G has 503 on its registry.

Zombie Aircraft

Maybe the missing 5 are Zombie Aircraft - Not sure what it means, however I am sure the daily mail will have a use for it. So I have coined the phrase.

Could it be that those JetNet figures are for UK based aircraft, whether G-, M, VP-, N- etc?

369 G- jets seem to be a lot (around 100 too much) if not mistaken.
