London City SIDs - Is the STOP CLIMB required?

NATS and London City Airport are reviewing what pilots think of the STOP CLIMB restrictions when departing LCY.

Here is their safety survey to guage what private jet pilots think and want:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MS8FTCW

Is this STOP CLIMB of 3,000ft ALTITUDE on all LCY Jet Centre SIDS potentially confusing to unfamiliar pilots?

Or is this a necessary precaution to deconflict from LHR arrivals?

Have a look at the NATS LCY SID survey

Imho the best way to prevent a level bust out of LCY is early use of automatics, wind & weather permitting.

We always fly the initial part up to 3000ft in LNAV and use AP as soon as possible to allow for sufficient monitoring capacity during clean-up and level off.

I always try to select VS max. 1000ft/min latest at 2000ft AGL, because the Heathrow inbound and its TCAS above you certainly will not appreciate your 2500ft/min climb rate.

Well it really is quite simple actually.
ALL London City SIDs level at 3000'.

It's stated on the charts.
Nuff said, with minimal confusion ?
