JAR-FCL CPL lapsed - panicking!
Hi folks
I'm in a bit of a panic! I will explain.
I've not flown in a while (about 10 months of unemployment). Today I renewed a multi crew business jet on my licence but after the LPC in the simulator the examiner and I then discovered that my JAR-FCL CPL lapsed in September 2012 (paper renewal). We both missed it before the test!!
My medical is current until 1st June and my type rating was current.
Does anyone please know what I can do about getting a EASA CPL?
Cheers

Hi Ray Ban,
I'm presuming (always dangerous) that your in the UK and therefore dealing with the UK CAA....with that in mind the section you need to refer to is in the UK CAP804 (Flight Crew Licensing), Section 3, Part K - this deals with the issue of expiring licences. As for the LPC - invalid i'd suspect i'm afraid, but there may be someone far brighter than me on here that can advise.

The LPC is valid. Send the LPC paperwork in with an SRG1104 and you will get a new Part FCL licence. Obviously you can't exercise the privileges until you have the new licence.
Knew someone on here would know the answer....good news for the LPC then Ray Ban
As for the smoke and porn Tom.......i still do all that too, and of course the CAP Publications are every bit as good as porn!! haha......i do get out occasionally, and was discussing the use of the climb increment tables with JD only yesterday......you see, true rock and roll lol.
How's the Global TR going??

oddly enough I'm in the performance bit of the ground school and have just been discussing net take off and gross climb gradients, assumed level off heights, and all that jazz.
this thing ain't short of power...

Thanks bose-x - really appreciate it. The TRE has just told me the same thing!
What's this proof of English proficiency needed? I was born and educated in England and it's my first language!

You will need an Examiner to sign off your English Level 6 BEFORE you send your paperwork into the CAA for issue of a Part FCL licence otherwise they will bounce it. You may already have Level 6, whenever I conduct any type of Skill Test I always sign the native English speakers off as Level 6 and I know many other examiners do the same.
I would however ask your TRE to complete the Level 6 paperwork for you as a belt and braces exercise.

and thus we subsidise the cafe on the top floor a little more.. CAA to JAA, thick end of 300 notes, JAA to EASA, another 300, thats in under two years for me! No wonder coffee is 25p in the cafe upstairs..
