Difference Global XRS/6000 Systemwise

Hello All,

I just wonder what could be the difference from the Global XRS to the Global 6000 Systemwise. I know its a new Vision Cockpit......

Any info on that would be great.

Difference Global XRS/6000 Systemwise

They don't have a CAIMS/PMAT system, all interrogation done through the vision avionics. I think the bigger changes will come into place with the 7000/8000 which I believe will have GE engines for a start.

FMS: now COLLINS - (happy about this!)

ATR: works also s.e. and during s.e. go around

IRS: no switches anymore

Com panel: now on glareshield (very handy...)

Syntetic Vision

NO Flight director (Vbar/Crosspointer) anymore - only flight-path vectors (like in the HUD)

position of gear lever

position of DC override switch

track ball for coursor movement on the MFW (multi function windows)

sure, i forgot some items...

Yes, a spirited battle for second and third place in the corporate jet race!

Don't worry though, with the backlog at Gulfstream at near 33 months for a G450 or G550, and near 60 months for a G650, they will still get some orders.
