Company Pilot
Hi All,
Just a quick question that hopefully some of you might have some experience in.
What would be a reasonable salary for a pilot flying for a private company, as single pilot, MEP and SET in germany be?
Really just looking for rough estimates as to what would be standard in your collective experience.
Many thanks in advance.

Reasonable for whom? The pilot or the owner?
Being a single person youŽd have to look at roughly 50% taxes and mandatory insurances off the salary. I would guess that a 'going' salary in that category would be in the 4000-6000 range before taxes, bear in mind that there is a strong slope downhill from south to north and west to east in salaries and obviously depending on age and experience and if there are additional duties, how much standby etc.etc.)
As I live in the southwest, that figure might be less in the the northwest or even lower in the northeast.

CC, as you most likley know there are 2 operators with XLSes (AFAIK) in EDDS, the figures you find on ppjn seems to be about right regarding the base, I guess the top pay isnŽt that high on the XLS as posted there.
As for the other operator, they used to have contracts with somewhat lower figures (not that much) and youŽd have to join with a rating. That's how it used to be, IŽm not 'current' in the Stuttgart scene any more...
Stuttgart is one of the most expensive places to live in Germany, bear that in mind.
