A Fresh Start - A open apology

hope that this post is read in the spirit that is intended, please read it in its entirety before throwing me to the wolves.

I am a young Businessman who is extremely passionate with regards aviation. I have invested a considerable amount of money into getting ratings and learning to be a safe pilot. Unfortunately my efforts have somewhat concentrated on the flying skills for my business and I had hoped to be able to learn the business skills with ease. Sadly that has not been the case and I now realise that business skills are perhaps harder to learn than pilot skills, and that more time should be used to work on the business side which it now shall.

Looking back over the last couple of years in some situations to the above has made me cringe, I am ashamed of some of the mess I generated commercially and as such I apologise to all the people who I have upset. I do need to make it clear; I have never intended to defraud anyone, or to commit any criminal offence, neither do I admit to ever causing any crime. Some of My mistakes have been through commercial ignorance rather than and never criminal intent. It’s hard to admit this, but hopefully those who read this will accept that I really am trying to put things right. I am not the first or last firm that shall receive debts but the correct thing is to settle the ones that are outstanding.

In recent months this has affected all aspects of my life, I have lost many nights sleep worrying about how to sort all of this out. Some of the options I considered have been very black and have reflected how awful I have felt about all of this. I now realise that whilst I have had a very rough time with this forum, some of the contributors were genuinely trying to help me sort this out. My attacks on some people were unfair, I do realise how much that has antagonised the problems I face. I have also made mistakes by wrongly using information against some people that was given to me and I had accepted as “fact” at face value. I now realise that most was in reality malicious hearsay and I should have never passed it on or tried to use it to justify my own position. I am sorry if I have upset anybody or that my firm has.

One of the options I considered was going bankrupt or entering into an IVA to facilitate sorting out what I owe to various people. I do not feel that is an honourable option, it leaves people out of pocket, and that is not what I have ever wanted. With that in mind I have been working around the list of people I owe money to and have been sorting out repayment plans that I can afford. It will take me time to sort this out and get people refunded, I ask that people do allow me the chance to resolve this without compounding the amounts that I owe by further Court or Enforcement action. To those I owe money to, if I have not yet contacted you to sort this out then I shall be contacting you shortly.

That can’t turn back time, but I do hope that people acknowledge the fact that I now offer a whole hearted apology without reservation or condition and I am trying my best to sort the historical issues out and take steps to gain the commercial knowledge and infrastructure within my business to stop the mistakes ever happening again.

In future my business activities will operate with total transparency from the onset of any dealings, clients will be given a revised contract that will explain very clearly what they will get from me, what is quoted into the price and what is not and how contingencies or eventualities will be dealt with. Hopefully it will help avoid the past confusion to some of my clients. My new contract will shortly be available for inspection by anyone on my website. There will also be clear terms of reference for dealing with any consequential, unplanned costs enroute.

Again I offer my sincere apologies for everything that has happened. I an my firm look forward to building a better future for all involved.

With regards one of the amounts, Dave Green has agreed that the money due to him can be paid by an installment plan and has said that he wants the money paid to his nominated charity - Flying Scholarships for the Disabled . In accordance with his wishes, payment will be made to the Charity.

I would also like to apologise to Dave Plange, whilst he is not owed anything by me I now understand that his motives were to simply try to help everyone and as a consequence did take a lot of flack from various quarters. Dave - I am sorry we had to be at each other like this, and my apologies for my attitude at times.

A Fresh Start - A open apology
RW

I have followed the previous post about you since the begining and have to say that maybe it could have all been brought to an end some time ago with a statement like this.

However try and put it behind you and well done for the apology in a public forum it should go a long way in helping your current situation
