No Citation XLS'S in France ??

Hi All,

For a good all round mid cabin, efficient aircraft which is popular in
most top 10 EU countries the XLS doesn't seem to be operated by any French operators.

Does any non French operators have bases in France that operate the XLS?

It does seem surprising that France doesn't have XLS'S

Only Lyreco operates privately a F- registered XLS in France.

You can see many others registered XL / XLS / XLS+ like S5- , CS- , LX- , G-, D- or OE-, very often in French Airports !

Thanks FL480. In your opinion is the fact that there are many non french
registred XL/XLS'S in France suggest mainly transiting aircraft or foreign operators basing their aircraft there?

Many thanks in advance.

Well it is a European market so any regional differences in ownership does not mean anything. On top of that NetJets is fairly big in France and has lots of France based XLS owners

TAG used to operate one Excel in Marseilles before its owner upgraded to a Legacy.
I believe Flying Group has/had an Excel in Cannes as well.

France is a different owner's market, with lots of older aircraft than what you can find in Germany for example.

Typically a French would rather buy an old Falcon 50 and operate it between Paris and Bordeaux or Biarritz than purchase an XLS.
