Light Plane crashes into Ferris Wheel in NSW, Australia

Apologies if this would be better suited to another part of the forum. A small plane has collided with a Ferris Wheel at a fairground in NSW, Australia. At the time of writing the plane's pilot and passenger appear to remain trapped. No apparent injuries to the children on the ride.

According to other news reports, the ultralight plane is a Cheetah S200. Placement of the Ferris wheel in the takeoff path seems odd if flying was to be conducted during the fair. Or flying with the Ferris in the takeoff path seems odd. Lucky nobody seems to have been seriously hurt or worse.

The TV news report suggested that the "two co-pilots" were trapped for many hours. I think that's a funny take on the whole incident!

What do you expect when the Ferris Wheel was located 100m from the threshold, 3 degrees off centreline......

Ferris Wheel

BBC News: An ultra-light plane has crashed into a Ferris wheel in a village north of Sydney, trapping four people, Australian officials say. Some people dream of being a pilot, others simply fail to see the attraction.
