draining procedure C525

Hi, I do draining on our CJ1+/CJ2+ once a month. Most pilots donīt do it themselves and/or are vaguely aware that you can do that. How often do you drain?

Cheers
Cecco

.....why, we all do the drains before the first flight of every day.....especially in uniform, on a nice, cold, wet ramp with nothing more than a suitable pair of gloves and some safety glasses on.....

AMM for the aircraft in question would probably be a good place to start

Once a year, whether it needs it or not.

(For those not familiar with the C525, there are a comical number of drains, placed in inaccessible places, designed to spray you with fuel, so it is definitely a task reserved for newbies on initial training exercises, and then best left alone).

I agree not to do the draining before the flight when wearing a uniform...
we have a cart to lie on to get under the aircraft so you donīt have to crawl...

Draining fuel C525

As difficult as it may be, drains should be done prior to Flight. If you leave it to other people or don't do it, then look for another job.
