Troops , has anyone any experience of dropping flower petals or poppies etc from an a/c ? Specifically a pa 34 with rear door removed. I did this last yr with only partial success . We tried to just empty the bag of flowers out of the door. If any has done it would they mind tellling me how . No theories please just practical knowledge

I've dropped ashes from a C206's removed door.
You have to make a chute to get the items away from the door. That worked for us. If you just chuck them out the open door it comes straight back in and whips around the cabin. Not nice.
Some poly tube should work, leads to be long enough to be well clear of the door, maybe 30 cm beyond the door should be enough.

Make sure the exit end doesn't experience any ram air entering it. You can cut it at an angle then orient the angled cut away from the airflow. That should aid getting a suction effect down the pipe. How you are going to pour the petals into the pipe might take a bit of thinking about too.
MDP,you`ll also need an exemption from the CAA.
