EASA acceptance of FAA alterations

Pardon me if this has been posted previously and I missed it.

With the latest Bilateral Agreement between the U.S and EU, EASA is now accepting alterations previously approved and/or accepted by FAA.

Great news, makes exporting much easier now.

I don't quite think so. The treaty covers acceptance of test data.

The acceptance of FAA major and minor mods when the aircraft is exported to EASA-reg is not covered by this, AIUI.

Could be wrong... but this is a very old topic, and similar treaties have been around for years.

Au Contraire, have a gander at the agreement, Annex 1, Appendix page 43 and the technical Implementation Procedures 3.2.42
