CL604/605 type similarity?

Hi all. I have been told that differences are required for the 604 to the 605 but not for the 605 to the 604. Is this the case or not?

You need to check with the country in which you and the aircraft are licensed / regestered.

Thanks for the reply, I am FAA ATPL so the aircraft would be compatible to that and would only be part 91 ops. Currently SIC on a M reg 604.

Differences training is required both ways. So no mattter which varient you got checked out first, you would still need to take differences training to fly the other. Hope this helps

No, entirely different ratings and courses.

Junkyard

Same rating, just a differences course. If you are new to the type, get training on either one and sort out the differences courses.

And, as I know you know, but to drive the point home, entirely different designs. About all they have in common is the name - and even that was an afterthought for what started as the "Continental" ...
