Ag Pilot Job - Very funny ad!

Agricultural Pilots, Cropdusters Pty Ltd
All types of Ag applications, various locations throughout Australia as required
Exp: Experienced Ag Pilots that can actually fly, not just have a piece of paper that says they can - Tail dragger experience essential, recent application experience preferred
Apply To: Sheryl Keen 0400418052 all hours
Seeking pilots with Ag experience. NO egos. NO Cowboys, NO throttle bashers, NO know it alls, NO Nutcases, NO Freeloaders, NO nasty types, NO whingers, NO slackers, NO liars, NO hidden agendas. NO opportunists. Must be team players, of sober habits, honest in all respects, professional in all regards, able to give, take and carry out instructions, be accountable, reliable and responsible, able to keep good records, able to clearly communicate on various levels. Must understand this is not a get rich industry, demand can be unpredictable, so flexibility is necessary. Must understand the aircraft is not a penis extension, it is their office in which they risk their lives daily and that correct and careful daily inspection, maintenance and operation of the aircraft helps keeps them alive. All aspects of safety and daily care of the aircraft and equipment must be a primary concern. The promotion of Best Practice over Common Practice is expected at all times. I have had my share of bullartists, con men, weirdos and badly trained monkeys. I want a real pilot who can work within Company Policies. Someone that does not have to be watched over to ensure they are doing the right thing. If you think youre the kind of person Im looking for I would appreciate you emailing your resume.

I'll be right over. I think they just eliminated all the competition.

Take away all those things, and they might just end up with a priest on roller skates.

I'm also sure they have all new aircraft and that the maintenance program is outstanding.

Pilots are capable of showing love and affection. Sometimes it can even be to something other than a mirror.

Hmm...... Does Sheryl work for the CAA

Anyway I hope she gets what shes looking for. That 'perfect' pilot with no human tendencies at all must exist out there somewhere, well at least in the current climate

"Must understand this is not a get rich industry" :- Meaning your pay will be crappy

"Must understand the aircraft is not a penis extension, it is their office in which they risk their lives daily and that correct and careful daily inspection, maintenance and operation of the aircraft helps keeps them alive" :- Meaning dont get over excited, our planes are sh1t too, and are not our responsibility

Thumbs up pilots down under

yes she is correct I have seen ag pilots with 8,000 plus, fly like young 18yr olds in a car, never checking the oil ,fuel or do a daily insp, yes that,right.. they get their ground crew to do the work, hey these guys think they are too good & fly like sh-t they did own a bussiness once & I can see why (once ) Good money can be made
for the right ag pilot it beats charter and most other types of flying
but again there are pilots & pilots ..in charter there are pilots I would not put my enemies with ..aussie standards are very low
150 hrs 4 cpl ..nz 200hrs USA250hrs or do the yanks need more training ????Our CASA is like a Hitler, never changing 2 keep with the times, they must change like the FAA,but again to many drongo,s
I am speaking from experience 16,000hr plus ,Ag, charter etc no accidents, but can do a full days of work ,,eg, spreading fert
of marginal strips on hot days..have a go you guys, without
bending a machine

No. It means it's ag aviation. Be realistic.

gkpilot: I have heard stories of this. Personally I'd love to do ag flying (but not while treating plane like a car). Way to take it to the edge every day! (so to speak)

I started out doing row crop, but segued into firefighting. I did large air tankers (PB4Y, C130, P2) and single engine air tankers (SEATs); PZL M18T, AT502, AT802, etc. At the moment, I'm doing something else.

I'd move back to Australia in a heartbeat, though...

I knew a bloke like that, 16,000 hours and hadn't had a prang, his first was his last. It can happen to anybody, no matter how good you think you are, it can happen. I've found it a game where you never stop learning about everything including employers.
