Cecil

Good post. We are all human, therefore fallible. It doesn't matter how experienced we are, how good we are, how good we think we are or how good a record we have, if we fly long enough and often enough we will prang. Of that there is no doubt.

The day we stop learning, any of us, is the day to give it up. Yes the job (any job) has inherent risks. It's about "risk management", getting you through relatively unscathed and a huge helping of LUCK..

I can think of a well known UK Helicopter pilot (who also holds a fixed wing ATPL) who could NOT apply, he ticks every box (of the not required qualities) SB step back!!!

I wonder who she hired?
The ad rules out all pilots that I know??
I was feeling a hint of a heart that had been broken by one of those pilots she listed. All future pilots will pay for it.

The Monty Python clip was great!

A good example of how British Colonies have been established and managed along the way.
One of these days I need to learn British, I only understood about half of that.
