Paris Hotel

Hi Chaps

Its time to have a rethink about Paris Hotels

We have always managed to get a half decent rate at the Radisson Blu next to the Champs Elysee (very lucky I know) but they're stacked out

We need somewhere city centre, happy using the metro.

Any reccomendations gratefully recieved - links even better.

We'd normally get the Handler to do the legwork but we're in for mx

Cheers

Have you asked your mx people, they can often get good rates too. Or, still ask your handler you normally use as they are still often happy to help.

Sorry I can't offer any options myself.

Nothing is too cheap in Paris but Warwick Hotel Champs Elysees is OK but for quality try the Raphael Champs Elysees - pricey but quite boutique!

Terrass Hotel in Monmartre

Terrass - always my choice when I have a choice.

Each room individually decorated - no two are the same.

Restaurant on roof (better in summer!).

Enjoy!

Have stayed in:
Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel, France: hotel rooms, suites in downtown Paris, France
Very nice, good location. Funky decor (although the lifts, with their very funky lighting, only make the world spin even faster after a night on the lash)

and
Paris Hotels | Outdoor garden near the Paris Tour Eiffel | Paris Downtown Hotel
More traditional Paris. Small rooms but very quaint. Also a good location.

Terrass hotel is very good! Metro close by, lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Personal shower/steam room is fantastic!

Hilton Paris

Hilton Arc de Triomphe Paris,
seems to get most votes of pilots. Nice executive lounge, all shops and things in walking distance. A little park just around the corner.

Many crews staying there so ample time and room to trade war stories.

See you there

Personally I'm not that keen on Montmartre - The worst kind of tourist restaurant - terrible food, with gastro-entiritis on the side. Even tipped places have been bad, bad, bad. The cheek of the French to mock British food!

Maybe something to do with the restaurants all being in a dog turd minefield, my recollection of staying at the Terrasse was walking with a 'Head Down Display', but granted the hotel was nice.

Just across the river next to Bir Hakeim metro is the Eifel Grenelle; smal private hotel but in an area where there are lots little eateries and close to the tower, and with the metro so close (literally 50yds) plus the RER just up the road maybe 200yds, it's easy to get elsewhere.
