Minimum to SIt in right seat of N reg Citation
I have been asked to sit in the right seat of an N reg citation flown privately. I have a Jaa atpl with the appropriate rating. Whats the minimum FAA license I require to sit in the right seat.

As my learned colleague said above, but with the caveat that it must be one of the citations certified as single pilot, not a multi crew model flown under a single pilot waiver, as these are not recognised in europe.
The minimum FAA license would be a Private with multi-engine and instrument ratings, IF non-commercial; if getting compensation , you have to have a CPL. Compensation is very broadly interpreted by the FAA, logging time can be considered compensation, if it is used to gain experience for a higher class of license. If operated outside the US, you would need a SIC rating in the plane.

Thanks all. I had a chat with a really helpful guy in the FAA international office. He basically said the same thing. Get FAA PPL based on JAA license and do a check ride in aircraft or sim for the rating.
