GA airports in the Middle East

I'm looking at a possible trip to Muskat (OOMS) in an SR22. Would like to hear from anyone about preferred GA airports in the Middle East. After Greece we're flexible with our routing but need several fuel stops (don't like being low on fuel

Thanks!

Al Ain not Bateen

Al Ain is friendlier. IFR.

Bateen is fun, but not so easy to use. Totally VFR.

Consider Fujairah on the east side of UAE, slightly north of track, but IFR and very GA friendly.

Ras al Khaimah, also slightly to north and also friendly.

PM me for RAK and FJR contacts, if required.

Not sure where my first reply went but as mentioned by Gulfstreamaviator, RAK or FJR are good options, and then at the other end of the region, Aqaba (good flying school there), and Riyadh. Check for Avgas availability on a weekly basis and maybe consider buying in advance.

FJR is cash only unless you have a local agent who can take care of payment for you.

I PM'd you before anyway Sir.

SR-22 To OOMS

From Greece ... to Cairo ... to Sharm El Shick ... to Jeddah... to Riyadh... to Bahrain or Doha... to Alain... to destination ... As per "wwelvaert" check on AvGas prior departing Greece ..
I have seen a couple of SR22 in Riyadh and Jeddah on their way down south and that is the prefered route ... also check on the Visas ... although you can overnight (up to 72 hours) in Saudi ... but that is for crew only ...

It will be a very nice trip in the next month ... cooler temps ..
Enjoy it and keep it safe ...

Thanks for all the info guys. We're still waiting for definitive go-ahead but it looks like we'll start out in Duluth towards the second half of October. We'll post a few updates during the trip, if confirmed.

As for the "cooler temps" that'll be nice down in the Middle East, not so much over the North Atlantic
